TUBES HEAT EXCHANGER

The tubes heat exchanger comprises a wide variety of equipment, all of them with the common feature of having a bundle of tubes. Some of them are popularly known with the nickname cooling coils or heating coils due to a component, the fins, which are arranged in parallel, perpendicular to the tubes, consecutively.

If we classify these equipments according to the elements they work with, we find water coils, glycol water coils, cooling coils, steam coils, thermal oil coils and superheated water coils. Factors that influence in working temperatures and pressures and, together with the environments where the equipment will be installed, allow the selection of thicknesses and necessary materials, from stainless steel heat exchangers, through carbon steel, copper, aluminum, even titanium.
