PAPER

Paper is a material made from a fibrous pulp that is usually composed of carbohydrates such as cellulose and hemicellulose, lignin, resins and tannins. Throughout the industrial process, additives such as pigments or auxiliaries can be added to facilitate handling during production.

The paper manufacturing process is complex and consists of multiple stages, among which we find the preparation of the pulp through disintegration, deflakers, refining, the incorporation of additives and cyclonic purification. Here we can include the water recovery process.

Once the paste is ready, the presses remove around 20% of the moisture from the paper. Then, the dryers apply heat, managing to reduce about 55% of the humidity. This operation is essential and is optimized with flash steam, live steam or condensate heat exchangers.

In other words, our heat exchangers are used in some of the most essential parts of the paper industry because helps guaranteeing the quality of the paper, such as humidity control through air or cylinder dryers, as well as in boilers. Here we emphasize that we also propose heat recovery units and economizers to reuse the industrial boilers exhaust gases heat.

The resulting paper still has a way to go through rewinding, plastering, calendering, winding and finally cutting.
