Specialists in industrial heat exchangers
We are BOIXAC. We conceive and supply custom heat exchangers for demanding industrial processes.
We travel to the plant when needed. We analyze the process before proposing anything. And we design each piece of equipment with the operator in mind—who will use it, under what conditions, and for how long.
We are not a catalogue. We are a technical partner.
What we do
BOIXAC is a company specialized in the design and supply of custom industrial heat exchangers. We work with plant engineers, EPC contractors, and OEM equipment manufacturers on projects where standard solutions are not sufficient.
Our equipment operates in sectors such as food processing, oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, energy, bioplastics, and mining. We have supplied them for projects across Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, Central America, and South America — always through collaborations with top-tier industrial companies.
Hundreds of projects delivered. One shared requirement across all of them: that the equipment works from day one.
How we work
Every project starts with a simple question: what is really happening in that process?
We do not offer solutions before understanding the problem. When necessary, we go to the facility. We review existing equipment. We speak with the technical team. And only then do we propose.
This approach has allowed us to detect design errors from other suppliers, propose improvements the client had not considered, and deliver equipment within timeframes many would consider impossible — such as a titanium heat exchanger for brine service delivered in 5 days, or economizers with our own removable design that exceeded contractual specifications in a project with performance penalties.
We do not offer mass production. Our solutions are manufactured according to the needs of each project.
Certifications and standards
BOIXAC equipment is manufactured in compliance with the technical and regulatory standards required by each project:
- Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU (PED) — Categories I, II, III, and IV depending on the application.
- ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code — For projects with international requirements.
- EN ISO 3834-2 — Quality control in fusion welding processes.
Each project includes the necessary technical documentation: material certificates, welder qualifications, welding procedures (WPS/WPQR), pressure tests, and complete quality dossiers.
Who is behind BOIXAC
Our identity
The BOIXAC logo is not decorative. It is pure geometry: 9 overlapping circles, calculated pixel by pixel, that can scale from 12 pixels to 10 meters without losing precision.
Each element has a precise meaning:
The green leaf — the commitment to energy efficiency and to an industry that consumes less and produces better.
The teal — technology, fluid, precision. The color of applied thermal exchange.
The earth brown — industrial roots. Real processes, materials, the weight of manufacturing something that must work.
The circular shape — continuous improvement. The same principle we apply to every project, from initial analysis to commissioning.
FAQs
What differentiates BOIXAC from a standard heat exchanger manufacturer?
BOIXAC does not manufacture catalogue equipment. Each heat exchanger is specifically designed for the real conditions of the process: fluid, temperature, pressure, environment, available space, and maintenance requirements. Before manufacturing, we analyze. Before proposing, we understand.
Which industrial sectors does BOIXAC serve?
We work in food processing, oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, energy, bioplastics, mining, electronics, and pulp, among others. If the process involves heat transfer under demanding conditions, it is our domain.
Can BOIXAC supply heat exchangers with PED or ASME certification?
Yes. We design equipment under the PED 2014/68/EU Directive in categories I to IV, under ASME standards, and with welding quality control according to EN ISO 3834-2. Each project can include advanced technical documentation.
What is the typical manufacturing lead time?
It depends on the complexity of the equipment. In emergency cases, we have delivered equipment in 5 days. In complex projects with multiple certifications, the timeline is defined together with the client from the outset.
Does BOIXAC operate outside Spain?
Yes. We have participated in projects in Spain, France, the Netherlands, Malaysia, and other international markets. Our equipment operates in plants across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
What technical documentation is included in a BOIXAC supply?
Depending on the project: fabrication drawings, material certificates, welder qualifications and welding procedures, pressure tests, quality dossiers, and all documentation required by the client or applicable regulations.
